Student Visas

Students who are not a resident of one the member states of the European

Economic Area (EEA) or a Swiss national will need to apply for and obtain a Student Tier 4 VISA and entry clearance before coming to study in the UK

To obtain a Student Tier 4 VISA the following steps must be made: 

  1. Complete a VISA Application Form in two parts downloaded from www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk 
  1. Submit the completed Visa Application Form with the correct CAS Number, along with the following documentation: 
  • Unconditional Offer Letter with CAS Number issued by CAMS College
  • Passport
  • Relevant Educational Qualification Certificate/Transcripts as listed in the CAS Statement issued by CAMS college
  • English Proficiency Certificate (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL)
  • Proof of Maintenance Funds* (Bank Statements or Letter from the Bank)

 * Prospective students must demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to support their living expenses (maintenance funds) during their course.

 Students should provide either a recent bank statement in their own name, or if they are sponsored by a parent or legal guardian, students must provide their sponsors bank statement, together with documentation to prove their sponsor is a parent or legal guardian (e.g. birth certificate). The UKBA consider sufficient maintenance funds to be GBP 5,400. These funds must have been in the students or sponsors bank account for not less than of 28 days before the application is submitted.

The UK Border Agency is responsible for securing the UK borders and controlling migration in the UK. UKBA manage border control for the UK, enforcing immigration and customs regulations.
